Award-winning poet and Professor of English, Wellesley College. Work is often described as 'confessional poetry' and dramatic. Fellow, American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Shelley Memorial Award of the Poetry Society of America (1997). Notable collections include 'Star Dust' (2005) and 'Music Like Dirt' (2002). Most recent collection is 'Metaphysical Dog' (2013).
