Author of a series of detective stories featuring the amateur detective Benjamin Justice, which have received two Lambda Literary Awards. His first mystery novel, 'Simple Justice' (1996) won the prestigious Edgar Allan Poe Award from the Mystery Writers of America for best first mystery novel. Recently has published a series of humorous books featuring society band leader Philip Damon.
