Description

Wing Commander, Royal Air Force. Deputy Strategic Communications Advisor at Headquarters Joint Forces Command, NATO, since 2014. Has served in Germany, the Falkland Islands and Northern Ireland, and completed operational tours in Bosnia, Sierra Leone, and Iraq. He led the UK earthquake disaster relief response in Pakistan, and also commanded the UK Chinook detachment in Afghanistan. Appointed a Member of the Most Honourable Order of the British Empire (2008) for exemplary leadership on operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Established the RAF LGBT Forum, which he has chaired since 2006. The RAF's most senior openly gay officer.
