Description

Singer and songwriter, often credited with founding the Rock and Roll genre of music. Notable songs include 'Cry' (1952), 'Such a Night' (1954), and 'Just Walkin in the Rain' (1956). Notable albums include 'Just Walking in the Rain' (1956). Often appeared on popular television entertainment and chat shows to huge popularity, with particular acceptance in England and Australia. Though he married, he was charged (and pleaded guilty) to soliciting an undercover male prostitute on two occasions (1951, 1959). Bisexual.
