Author, notably for her autobiographical book on being a professional dominatrix 'Whip Smart' (2010), and her second book 'Abandon Me' (2017). Board member of Vida: Women in Literary Arts. Assistant Professor at Monmouth University. Co-curated the Manhattan reading and music series, Mixer, for nine years. Recipient of the 2018 Jeanne Córdova Prize for Lesbian/Queer Nonfiction from the Lambda Literary Foundation. Serves on the Board of Directors for VIDA: Women in Literary Arts and lives in Brooklyn.
