Description
Prime Minister of Luxembourg since November 2013, representing the Democratic Party. Former Mayor of Luxembourg City as well as a member of the Chamber of Deputies and communal council, representing the Democratic Party, since 2011. First elected to municipal politics in 1999, has successively strengthened his political position, becoming Mayor of Luxembourg City in 2011. Elected leader of the Democratic Party in early 2013. Awarded the Grand Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau (2012) and promoted to a Grand Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau (2018).
