Description

Judge of the Ontario Court of Justice, and the first openly-gay judge in Canada (1995). Former criminal lawyer, and an expert in Family Law. Author of the book 'Tug of War' (2009) on family law and divorce. Host of a television show 'Family Matters with Justice Harvey Brownstone'. Noted for presiding over the marriage of LGBTQ activist Edith Windsor and Thea Spyer.
