Diplomat and member of the International Tribunal in the Hague, then Foreign Minister 1945-47 and 1947-1950. Appointed ambassador to Rome (1951-1953). Appointed his homosexual friend Jens Rudolph Dahl as under-secretary of state. Concern often arose that homosexuals had such influence over foreign affairs. Lawyer
