Description

Poet and fiction writer. Notable books include 'Country' (2017), 'Salvation: A Novel of the Civil War' (2014, Lambda Literary Award) and his memoir 'Loving Mountains, Loving Men'. Poetry collections include chapbooks 'Bliss', 'Mountain 'Fireflies', and 'Flint Shards from Sussex', and five books of poetry. Teaches creative writing at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
