Description

First nations standup-comedian and LGBTQ activist. Host of her national television comedy show 'The Candy Show', and participates in the national radio show 'DNTO' (Definitely Not The Opera). Produced her first film, 'Building Legends: The Mi'Kmaq Canoe Project' (2011). She co-hosted the CTV afternoon talk show The Social and was a frequent contributor to CBC Radio, including hosting her own series in 2016, guest-hosting daily arts program q, and as a guest panelist on comedy quiz show Because News.  Her autobiography 'Running Down a Dream: A Love Story to My Family' is to be released in 2022. Recipient of a Bonham Centre Award from the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies at the University of Toronto (2017).
