Description

Transgender film director and screenwriter, former Laurence Wachowski. Co-directed the films 'The Matrix' (1999) and its various sequels, 'V for Vendetta' (2006), 'Speed Racer' (2008), and 'Cloud Atlas' (2012). Former comic book writer. Recipient, Human Rights Campaign Visibility Award (2012). Sister to transgender film director Lilly Wachowski.
