Notable for the documentary 'Deadly Deception' (1991, Academy Award), a film that propelled General Electric to stop manufacturing nuclear weapons. Other documentaries include 'It's Elementary' (1996), a look at gay-inclusive education in elementary and junior high schools. Founder and President of production company GroundSpark. Considered the first lesbian to thank a partner when accepting an Academy Award.
