Description

Theatre director and playwright. National Theatre Associate Director. Former Artistic Director, Royal Court Theatre (2006-2013). Won the 2007 Laurence Olivier Award for best director for his revival of 'The Crucible' while working at the Royal Shakespeare Company. International Theatre Institute Award for Excellence in International Theatre (2013). Appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
