Description

Founder of the magazine 'Vice Versa', the first lesbian publication in the United States (1947). Joined the Daughters of Bilitis and contributed to their magazine, Ladder under the pseudonym Lisa Ben. Namesake for the Lisa Ben Award for Achievement in Features given out by the Association of LGBT Journalists.
