Description

Cellist and conductor. Founder, Orange County Philarmonic Orchestra. Part of the resistance movement during World War II who dressed as a man to escape arrest - emigrated to the U.S. post-war. LGBTQ activist, whose life is portrayed in the documentary 'But I Was A Girl' (1999).
