Description

Science Fiction author, fantasy. His first major story was novella 'The Unconquered Country' (1984), which won a World Fantasy Award and a British SF Award. Later novella 'Love Sickness' (1987) won a British SF Award. Other books include 'The Child Garden' (1989), winner of both the Arthur C. Clarke and Campbell Memorial Awards. Teaches writing part time at the University of Manchester.
