Description

Mathematician, astronomer and student of Copernicus, who aided his mentor in the study that proved the earth was round and circled the sun. Attributed as the individual who encouraged Copernicus to publish his work and saved it from being destroyed. Convicted of sodomy and exiled from Liepzig for 101 years. Known for his creation of trigonometric tables in mathematics.
