Description

Gold medal winner, diving, 1984 and 1988, sweeping the events in those games. Winner of 13 world championships. Received the James E. Sullivan Award from the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States (1984), and Athlete of the Year (1988). Tested positive for Aids in 1988. NYTimes best selling author for this autobiography, 'Breaking the Surface'. Currently coaching.
