Parliamentary Leader of 50Plus in House of Representatives since 2014. Founder of gay magazine 'Gay Krant' (1980). First proposer of gay marriage in Netherlands, the first country in the world to pass legislation for equal marriage rights, 2001. Appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau (1999).
