Description
Founder & CEO of Grindr, the worlds largest all-male mobile location-based social network. Born in Tel Aviv in 1976, and at the age of three he emigrated from Israel with his family to New York. Attended Tufts University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in a double major of International Relations and Economics. Moved to Los Angeles March 2008. With the announcement of the second-generation iPhone, combining GPS technology and application development for the mobile platform, the pieces came together and created the perfect combination to achieve Joel’s idea. In March 2009, Grindr was launched. Created the queer dating app Motto.
