Description

Composer of classical symphony music. Distinguished professor of music at Lehman College in the City University of New York. In 2001 received the Pulitzer Prize for his Symphony No. 2. In 2011, his composition "One Sweet Morning" premiered at Avery Fisher Hall for the New York Philharmonic, a commission commemorating the 10th anniversary of the September 11th Attacks. Married to Mark Adamo.
