Description

Professor of queer studies, now with State University of New York, Buffalo. Founder, Harvey Milk Institute, the largest queer studies institute in the world. Writer, notably for the books 'Gay American History' (1976), 'The Invention of Heterosexuality' (1990, 2007), and 'A Radical Lesbian: The Daring Life and Dangerous Times of Eve Adams' (2021). One of the founders of the Gay Academic Union.
