Transgender Professor of English at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University, being the first transgender individual at an orthodox Jewish institution. Transitioned from Jay Ladin in 2007. Notable books of poetry include her memoir 'Through the Door of Life: A Jewish Journey Between Genders' (2012) and 'Impersonation' (2015). Speaks about gender identity issues, and has been featured on various NPR programs. Board Member of Keshet, a national organization devoted to full inclusion of LGTBQ Jews in the Jewish world.
