Description

Author of the poetry collections 'The Conversation' (2015), 'Horses and the Human Soul' (20014), 'History and Geography', 'Trying to be an Honest Woman', and 'Long Love: New & Selected Poems (1985- 2017)' (2018). Has also published the prose books 'Lifesaving: A Memoir' (Lambda Literary Award) and the book 'Writing the Memoir: From Truth to Art'. Recipient of the Gregory O'Donoghue International Poetry Prize (2013), among other awards. Former faculty member of the MFA program in Creative Writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
