Kathryn Dawn Lang, popularly known as K. D. Lang. Country singer-songwriter who lead the way for recognition of lesbian rights. Winner of four Grammy Awards - 1989, 1990, 1993, 2004. Notable songs include 'Constant Craving' and 'Miss Chatelaine'. Lesbian cult leader. Canada's female artist of the decade in the 1990s. Member, Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2013). Recieved the National Arts Centre Award (2015), Alberta Order of Excellence (2018), and the Order of Canada. Animal rights, practicing Buddhist and LGBTQ activist.
