Country & Western, and Christian, singer and songwriter. Notable songs include 'For Those Tears I Died (Come to the Water), which she wrote and performed with her then-husband. Subsequently divorced and came out as lesbian, which caused a scandal in the Christian community. Founder of BALM Ministry (Born Again Lesbian Ministry). Prominent within the Metropolitan Community Church.
