Description

Dancer and choreographer noted for her impressionist style of dance which included elaborate, hand-made costumes. Noted for her risque production of 'Salome'. Gained international fame with her failed defamation suit against a British Member of Parliament who publicly outed her as a lesbian. Taught dance later in life. Author of several articles and a book 'My Life and Dancing' (1908).
