Description

Poet and novelist. Work is considered experimental and unconventional, though widely regarded throughout the world. Feminist who founded a feminist newspaper, 'Les têtes de pioches' and publishing house, L'Intégrale éditrice. Among her numerous awards, her poetry has won two Governor General's Award for Poetry - 'Méchanique jongleuse' (1974) and 'Double impression' (1984).
