Description

Television actor and comedian noted for his character Pee-wee Herman. The Pee Wee Herman Show was first presented as a stage show in 1981. He starred in the films 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure' (1985),'Big Top Pee-wee' (1988), and 'Pee-wee's Big Holiday' (2015) and appeared as Pee-wee in the CBS Saturday-morning children's program Pee-wee's Playhouse (1986-1990, 15 Emmy Awards). A successful stage production of the Pee-wee Herman Show was staged in 2009-2010. Appeared in many other television shows, both in and out of character. Made news headlines when he was arrested for indecent exposure (1991)
