Description

Architect and interior designer of the Empire style of Napoleon's era and the later Regency style, including the development of the Louvre and the Chateau de Fontainebleau. Designed all detail, including furnishings and accessories. Won the Prix de Rome (1786). Worked in tandem throughout with his life partner Charles Percier.
