Gay Holocaust survivor and the only French person to have testified openly about his experience of deportation during World War II due to his homosexuality. Narrates the story in the book 'I, Pierre Seel, Deported Homosexual: A Memoir of Nazi Terror' (1995), describing how he and other suspected homosexuals were beaten, had their fingernails pulled out and were raped with broken rulers.
