Host on television channel Turner Classic Movies (TCM). Columnist for the Hollywood Reporter and writer of a series of books chronicling the Oscars. Host of the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood. President of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association from 1981-83. Former host on The Movie Channel. Partner was theatre director David Staller.
