Description

Program Coordinator, American Psychological Association’s Office on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (formerly the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns Office). Formerly worked at the local, state and national levels of the LGBT rights movement for nearly 20 years including 10 years at the national office of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays in Washington, DC, with positions raging from Field Coordinator to Interim Executive Director. Advisory Board Member, International Day Against Homophobia. Author of 'LGBT Health and LGBT Psychology: Emerging Policy Issues', in the book 'LGBT Psychology and Mental Health: Emerging research and advances'. Curator of the exhibition 'Out and Elected in the USA - The First 30 Years: 1974-2004', a survey through black and white portraits and texts of many of the pioneering openly lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender individuals elected to public office in the US in those years. Also known as Ronald Schlittler.
