Description

Poet, author, playwright, literary critic. One of the most famous Cuban writers of the twentieth century; some of his works deal explicitly with male homosexuality and transvestism. Relationship with philosopher Francois Wahl. Died of AIDS. Was also an artist. The Severo Sarduy Cultural Foundation was created in his honour.
