Description
Transgender and eunuch, former member of the Madhya Pradesh State Legislative Assembly (1998-2003), being the first such person to be elected to public office in that country. Continues to participate actively in AIDS/HIV with NGOs and gender activists in India. A documentary has been made about her life.
