Description

Novelist and poet, one of the most prolific contemporary writers in Belgium and the Netherlands. City of Antwerp's first City Poet (2003). Notable works include the novel 'Sprakeloos' (Speechless) and 'Het derde huwelijk'. Writes politically engaged columns for the Flemish magazine 'Humo'. Numerous awards, including the Royal Academy for Dutch Language and Literature Five-Yearly Prize for Playwriting for the 2007–2011 period.
