Description

City of Chicago Alderman since 2003, being the city's first gay councilor. Proprietor of the Ann Sather Restaurant chain. Former chairman of the Illinois Restaurant Association. He founded and led the Lakeview Center Business Association and White Crane Wellness Center. Member, Chicago Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame (1995). HIV/AIDS activist.
