Milliner, notable for designing hats for Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family. Recipient of a royal warrant (1974). Appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO, 1999), and he was named Australian of the Year in the UK (2013). Partner was fashion designer Murray Arbeid.
