Description

Former Republican Party member of the House of Representatives from Connecticut (1971-1987). Bisexual. Died of AIDS. The 144.5-acre Connecticut National Wildlife Refuge was renamed the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge in his honour.
