Description

Novelist, whose first novel 'Mouthing the Words' (1999) won the City of Toronto Book Award, and in 2001, she won the CBC Canadian Literary Award for short fiction. Her third novel, 'Sweetness in the Belly' (2005) won the Trillium Award for Best Book in Ontario (2006). Former writer-in-residence at the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta. She is an adjunct faculty member of the graduate creative writing programs at the University of Guelph-Humber and the University of Toronto. Partner to Heather Conway.
