Description

First Lady, author, considered her greatest legacy the creation of 'The Universal Declaration of Human Rights' through the United Nations. Historical correspondence confirms her relationships with women, notably explorer Amelia Earhart and journalist Lorena Hickok (see, for example, 'Bibliography of Queer History (Lesbian History, Modern Lesbian History, and Pre-Modern Lesbian History'). Married to Franklin Roosevelt, but relationship was considered a political partnership.
