Description

Transgender two spirited poet and writer of Anishinaabe and Métis descent. Recipient of the inaugural Speaker’s Award for a Young Author and in 2016 she received a Dayne Ogilvie Honour of Distinction for Emerging Queer Authors from the Writer’s Trust of Canada. Has also written non-fiction for The Globe and Mail and McLean's Magazine. Her work has been published and anthologized internationally. Recipient of a Governor General's Poetry Award for 'Holy Wild' (2019).
