President of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Activist in the transgender rights movement. Author of numerous articles on the subject, and columnist for PlanetOut.com. Board member of Gender Education and Advocacy, Equality Project, Transgender Law and Policy Institute and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Former head of FTM International from (1991-1999) and a member of the Human Rights Campaign Business Council. Author of the book 'Becoming a Visible Man' (2004).
