Previously served as acting president from September 2021 to November 2022 and as vice-president from 2019 to 2022. Regional councillor of Île-de-France since 2015. Controversial for his far right political positions. Expressed personal opposition to same-sex marriage while acknowledging it as a fact of life in the country.
