Description

Columnist with the 'Saturday Evening Post', and later penned the syndicated column 'Matter of Fact'. Noted for a blackmail attempt by the KGB using information about his homosexual relationships, which he did not deny even thought he was married but fought by disclosing such relationships to the CIA. Also had to fight the McCarthy inquiry into homosexual activity in the US. Author of his memoirs 'I've Seen the Best of It'.
