Description
Track & Field competitor in the hurdles and track running events. Olympic gold-medal 4x400-meter team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where he also won silver in the 400-meter hurdles. Olympic gold in the 400-meter hurdles in the 20012 Olympic games. Four-time world champion between those two events (2007, 2009 in both events). Considered to be the first U.S. Olympic Men's track athlete to come out as gay when he did so in 2019. Held the world record for the 400-meter indoor sprint (2005-2018). Born in Trinidad & Tobago.
