Research interests include family policy issues and labor market discrimination based on sexual orientation, race, and gender. Author of several books on the subject, including 'The Public Professor: How To Use Your Research To Change The World' (2016), 'When Gay People Get Married: What Happens When Societies Legalize Same-Sex Marriage' (2009), and 'Money, Myths, and Change: The Economic Lives of Lesbians and Gay Men' (2001).
