Description

Novelist, critic, and essayist. Notable for the book 'Remembrance of Things Past' (16 volumes published 1913 - 1927). Developed a reputation as a Jewish delettante, homosexual snob, and peopled with aristocrats. Known as one of the first European authors to feature homosexuality openly in his published works. Afflicted with asthma throughout his life and which contributed to his death.
