Description

Playwright, novelist, academic. Much of her work chronicles the AIDS crisis. Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at the City University of New York, College of Staten Island and a Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities at New York University. Notable books include 'The Cosmopolitans' (2016) and 'Maggie Terry' (2018). Co-creator of the Act Up Oral History Project. Recipient of numerous awards for her work.
