Description
Professor of Speech Sciences in the Department of Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences (SHaPS). She was, until September 2018, Head of the SHaPS Research Department. Research has been concerned with speaker/listener interaction in speech communication, i.e. how speakers adapt the characteristics of their speech production to achieve effective communication in good and poor listening conditions. She is a Fellow of both the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA).
